Come join us in Medfield for a Saturday Work Party on the Bay Circuit Trail!
(PLEASE NOTE: Organizers are currently only taking names for the waitlist)
Get out, give back, get dirty…and celebrate the Bay Circuit Trail!
Why Volunteer at a Weekend Work Party? Ever wonder what goes into maintaining a trail? Looking for a way to give something back to the local trails you already use? Perhaps you are looking for a way to enjoy the outdoors, learn new skills, and meet like-minded people? Interested in exploring natural “gems” of the greater Boston area?
These one-day trail events offer the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of trail maintenance or building from skilled AMC Trail Crew Leaders right in Boston’s backyard. Bay Circuit Trail Saturday Work Parties take place between April and November at various eastern-Massachusetts locations along the trail. Events start at 9 a.m. and wrap up between 3-4 p.m. Consider coming out for an event close to your home, or use this as a reason to get to know new natural places.
They are free and no experience is necessary! Individuals, small groups and families with youth age 12+ welcome.
Details about the hours of the work party will be provided soon. Registered participants receive driving and parking directions directly at least a week prior to the event by the AMC Bay Circuit Trail Volunteer Programs Supervisor. Carpooling is encouraged–let us know upon registration if you can provide or need a ride. Work party locations may be accessible by commuter rail or other local public transit.
RSVP required. Contact Beth Gula at firstname.lastname@example.org or 617-391-6586
