Cleveland Farm State Forest Hike in Boxford MA

Join us for a hike at Cleveland Farm State Forest in Boxford, MA, on Sun. Nov. 1.

Meet at 1:00PM. We’ll hike 4-5 miles along a section of the Bay Circuit Trail following trails that meander along eskers that are reminders of the last glacier that coveredNew England.  Experience a relatively deep forest populated with oak, hickory, beech and white pine.  We should catch some late fall color and even view our latest blooming tree, Witch Hazel, which procrastinates until mid-autumn to present its yellow ribbon-like bloom.

We’ll maintain a reasonable pace to ensure we can enjoy the natural world of this splendid forest.  If that’s not enough to pique your interest, how about the chance to stand in 3 towns simultaneously?

Directions:  From I-95 take exit 53A (Rte. 97 east) towards Topsfield, after exiting ramp take immediate left onto Rowley Road, follow 0.9 mi. to pkg. area on left.
