The AMC would like to encourage all trail users to fill out the following survey for the Statewide Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan (SCORP). It will help the Commonwealth prioritize where the Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) dollars are spent.

Recreational User Survey (~5 min to complete):  https://forms.office.com/g/YjdBwjDeiQ.

The Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs is asking for opinions from all users of Massachusetts’ outdoor recreational facilities. It’s important that as many residents as possible express their views so that the state can best allocate funding over the next five years. So please, share this survey with others and have their voices be heard too!

Every 5 years, Massachusetts develops a SCORP plan to remain eligible for funding through the LWCF grant program. Since the program was established in 1965, more than $100,000,000 has been awarded to projects in every county in the state. The grants help with the acquisition of conservation and park land, the development of new parks, the renovation of existing parks and even the creation of playgrounds, community gardens, and trails.

Survey submissions will be accepted until October 31st, 2022.

Any questions should be directed to Melissa Cryan, LWCF Stateside Coordinator, at SCORP.2022@mass.gov
